Caramelized Crispy Beets Recipe

Ingredients

  • 5 Medium-Sized Raw Beets
  • Avocado Oil
  • Garlic Powder
  • Oregano
  • Sea Salt

Instructions

  • Bring a pot of water to a boil
  • Wash and clean beets with some vinegar
  • Add your beets to the boiling water (releases a lot of extra starch) & wait until the beets are fork tender. This takes around 25-30 minutes.
  • Peel and chop beets into squares or cubes, as shown in my TikTok video, and add to a mixing bowl.
  • In a stainless steel pan and on medium heat, add in about 5 tbsp of avocado oil.
  • Next, in the beets bowl, sprinkle about 1 tbsp garlic powder, 1 tbsp oregano, and sea salt to taste. Mix well and add to the stainless steel pan.
  • Sauté in avocado oil, flipping beets every couple of minutes. You will know when they are done when the edges are starting to darken in color.
