Stir together the flax and water; set aside. In a large bowl mix together almond flour, 1/2 cup coconut sugar, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, 3/4 tsp allspice and nutmeg.
Add vanilla, almond butter and flax mixture, stir until combined (you might need two spoons or use your hands as the dough is thick)
Place the dough into the fridge for 1 hour prior to dividing and rolling them out.
Roll the dough into 10 equal balls and place on a parchment-lined pan, flattening slightly with your palm. Leave room between as they spread.
Bake at 375F for 10 minutes or until edges are just brown. Optional; sprinkle with cane sugar before baking. Let cool for 30 minutes before serving.
