K18 Biomimetic Hair science: Next- Level Repair Trio
I have heard so much about K18 and have really wanted to give it a proper try. Most of the feedback I’ve gotten from friends is that it’s great but there is a specific way and method of using it. I got the trio on BeautySense and did my research before to ensure I would use the products the way theyre intended to be used so I could get the most out of them. Luckily, there was a great description of how to use the products on the website so all I had to do was follow.
They suggest using the K18 shampoo one time per week, I only wash my hair one time per week so that made it very easy. After shampooing, you do not condition. Simply towel dry the hair and apply the K18 treatment to hair and then allow it to sit for 4 minutes. Yes, exactly 4 minutes or longer if you wish, but for 4 minutes you do not add heat or other products. I am so used to applying a treatment or conditioner that requires rinsing , this just felt weird and left me really curious how my hair would style.
I then applied a little bit of the hair oil, which I love because it doesn’t make the hair greasy or weighed down at all. I got a blow-dry, my hair dresser mentioned that my hair felt amazing and light. My blowout looked really nice and voluminous. I used the oil a few times within the week to freshen up or help with fly aways and again, loved it.
I repeated this exact routine for 4 weeks in a row to really give the KI8 program a really try and I have to say that my hair looks and feels healthy, longer and less breakage. I will forsure be repurchasing and recommend, especially if you’re trying to repair your hair or if you color it etc… They recommend using this exact method 4-6 times in a row before adding in other products.
Colorsceince Lip Shine
I had used this product in the past but lost it very soon after purchasing so wanted to give it another go. I find it very hard to find lip products, with color, that can be your daily gloss or lipstick that protect from the sun. We are all so good about spf on our faces but often forget the lips. I own many SPF lip products but I always feel the need to add a gloss or lipstick on top for a pop of color so I feel im just deactivating the protection.
Colorescience is one of my faves when it comes to sunscreen so I packed this for Miami and used constantly. For walks with my dog, days on the beach and just to run errands. I got the shade Coral, which isn’t really Coral , its more of a rose-ish nude. Really the perfect shade. The gloss is not sticky, super nourishing and looks great on the lip. This gloss combines zinc oxide (which is my mineral protection screen of choice), hyaluronic acid and vitamin E. The overall perfect combination for hydration and protection. I also love that Colorescience doesn’t use parabens, phthalates or synthetic fragrance.
I am almost done by tube and will definitely be getting more and trying other colors.
PCA skin: Après Peel® Hydrating Balm
I have always loved PCA skin but never tried this cream. I started incorporating this in November as the weather was getting colder in an attempt to hydrate my skin and transition to colder weather without any dryness. I was very attracted to the key ingredients in this product, many of which I hadn’t tried before in skincare. Things like chaste berry fruit and hydrolyzed milk protein are not my usual but as someone who wants to be in the “know” for all things skincare, I was excited to try.
The texture of this is less of a balm and more like a ordinary moisturizer, it applies like a moisturizer but the after feel is like a balm texture. Its super hydrating, nourishing and I have loved using it a few times a week at night for some TLC for my skin. I love the way my skin looks when I wake up after using this. This product is full of antioxidants and helps improve collagen, in turn helping the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
I just finished my tub and will be repurchasing!
