KG’s Beach Bag Essentials

I am pretty notorious for over packing in general, so it should come to no surprise that my beach bag is packed to the brim. Looking chic on the beach isn’t always easy and there is nothing more annoying than having to go back up to your room to get something, so I make sure to bring to everything I need.

Moisturizing Stick:

This is something I always like to have on hand at the beach or pool because sometimes you need a little moisture and there is nothing worse than your skin, eyes, lips feeling dehydrated.

SPF:

SPF is at the top of the list on beach bag essentials. See my fave SPFs for the face and my faves for the body.

Insulated Bottle:

Depending on what kind of day you’re planning to have this is your BFF. Pre make your favourite alcoholic beverage so you can get the party started as soon as you wish (no waiting for a waiter required… Everything takes 4x as long on the beach). Store cold liquids and keep them handy. I will sometimes bring green juice or ginger water with me as well.

Hair Products:

After a nice dip in the ocean or pool I always like to have a good hair product on hand to keep my hair looking fab. I often bring a sea salt spray, heat protectant mist or a conditioner.

A good book:

Life gets busy and I often don’t make time to read, when I go on vacation or lay out my favourite thing to do it read a good book. Click here to see our current fave beach reads.

Sunglasses:

Need I say more? Other than the fact that a cool pair of sunglasses completes any beach look, they’re also pretty necessary to protect your eyes and stop you from squinting all day (wrinkle prevention is key).

Air-pods and/or Wireless Earphones:

Wireless earphones are one of the best inventions when it comes to beaching. The stresses of adjusting the wires to avoid tan lines are finally gone. Listen to your fave podcast, audio book or music without the aggravation.

Games and/or cards:

Uno is my personal fave card game ever and I love travelling with it especially at the beach. It’s a great time to play a fun mindless game. I find playing card games help me disconnect from my thoughts and focus on something easy and fun.

Battery pack and/or power station:

I don’t know about you but when I’m on the beach or at the pool I generally use my phone quite a bit and love taking photos etc… Nothing sucks more than a dead phone on vacation, so I always have a battery pack charged up on hand so I can capture my day.

Lip Balm:

C’mon did you think my beach bag would be complete without a gloss/or balm? I always have a SPF lip balm on hand and a gloss and like 6 extras… Minimum.

Face Mist:

This is pretty self explanatory… It is the best way to cool off and refresh your skin throughout the day.

Visor or Hat:

I enjoy laying out a bit, but I rarely let the sun touch my face. I work so hard on my skin and the sun is so damaging that it’s super important I cover it up! I love wearing a visor or hat to ensure I protect my skin but also look cute.

What’s in your bag? Did I miss any essentials? Safe travels and have an amazing vacation. We hope you guys find our travel tips helpful, make sure to check out ALL OUR POSTS on packing. From fashion looks, vitamins and supplements, SPFs, skincare and more, we got you covered.
