Right now many of us are stuck at home lounging around but so many of us are also getting active. Some are actually getting in more activity and workouts than during regular, thanks to more free time and the abundance of free online workouts. Here at GLW we are all doing our best to stay active and there is nothing more motivating than cute, flattering and comfortable activewear. We all do different types of workouts and have different budgets so we decided to share the brands we each love to get sweaty in!

I basically spend my mornings in activewear, quarantine or not! It’s no secret that I love a high waisted pair of leggings and good sports bra. I personally will not even think about purchasing a pair of leggings that aren’t high waisted. I also look for sports bras that aren’t overly supportive because I have had a breast augmentation, I don’t require too much support. I always dabble with new brands but definitely have my go to favourites that I continuously buy from and swear by.
LuluLemon
LuluLemon is my number one and it can’t be beat for me. Their fabrics are incredible, the fits are close to perfection and the quality is excellent. When it comes to leggings my absolute favourites are the align leggings. I must have 6 pairs of black and then every other colour they release because I absolutely love them. These are my favourite to wear for Pilates, walking and stretching. They don’t offer much compression, however they are still uber flattering. I even love wearing these day to day. I also love the wunderunder leggings in the luxtreme fabric. These are a little more technical and great for HIIT workouts as well as spinning. The fabric wicks away sweat and are also very flattering.
When it comes to sports bras, I love the to be serene bra and the energy bra. They offer medium support, don’t cut into my back and have removable pads should you feel you need extra protection of padding. I often buy other sports bras that they come out with season to season.
Good American
I recently started wearing Good American’s activewear and became instantly hooked. The fabrics have a ton of compression and are super flattering and you just feel good wearing them. I also love that all the bras have removable pads and adjustable straps! I wear a size 1 in the leggings and a 2 in the bras.
Aurum Activewear
Aurum is a Montreal based activewear brand and I am completely obsessed with their sports bras. They never cut me or give me that annoying under arm fat and are super comfortable while still providing support. It is also a women run brand and I love supporting their vision.
DYI
DYI makes my favourite shiny high rise leggings. I have been wearing them for years and have them in tons of colours. I usually buy mine from @finishtheoutfit and wear a size XS (they are made a little big).
Emma
I’m not one to spend crazy amounts of money on activewear. I don’t need high performance activewear as my workouts are recreational. I’m not a serious runner nor do I do crossfit and require heavier workout gear. I like wearing black bottoms and the top can be in fun bright colours. I prefer full length over 7/8 crop style. I used to work for Speedo, so a lot of my activewear comes from there. When I do end up buying something it’s from the following brands.
Old Navy
I absolutely love their high rise leggings. I’m 5’9″ and I always have a hard time finding actual full length pants. I find the ones from Old Navy are true full length on me. I’m able to do my workouts in ease and not fidget with the waistband or pull at the leg. Even better, Old Navy always has amazing sales. I like the compression feeling without being suffocated. My go-to is always black but these come in a variety of colours and prints.
Old Navy is also my go-to place for sports bras. I prefer high support. I find it easier to workout in and I’m not worried about flopping all over the place. This style is super flattering and comfortable. I like how the band of the bra runs about an inch under your chest. In the top I usually play around with colours and prints to balance off the black bottom.
Yummie
This is the only pair of Yummie leggings I own and I adore them. They are so comfortable and the waist never falls down. I’m not even bothered that they aren’t full length. I constantly wear these to workout in and am washing them a lot. They hold their shape and support really well. I’m definitely going to have to buy another pair.
