I buy, receive and try a lot of different things in the course of a month. Probably more than most people you know and definitely more than is necessary. However, it is my job to know what’s going on in the world of wellness, beauty and fashion and I’m here for it!
We decided it was time to do a monthly review series, where I round up the things I have been gifted, purchased and tried within that month and let you know what’s worth trying and purchasing and what you should pass on. We would love your feedback on products and items you have been wanting reviewed. Please leave your suggestions in the comment section down below and we will be sure to test them out for you!
Wishful Honey Whip Moisturizer
This is the newest launch from Wishful skin and I was so excited to try it because I am such a fan of the Honey Balm Moisturizer. I have used this over the last week, I like the texture of the cream but don’t love the way it sits on the skin. I much prefer the Honey Balm moisturizer to this one. I will continue to try it out and see if I notice any changes but so far I don’t think I would repurchase.

Amika Hair Mask
This mask was recommended to me by some of my followers so of course, I had to give it a try. Im happy I did because I really like it. It’s a nice thick texture and really hydrates the hair, leaving it silky and shiny but doesn’t weigh down or make the hair feel greasy. I like to use this twice a month. I wouldn’t recommend it for those with oilier hair types as it would be too heavy.

Amika Normcore Shampoo
I am always on the hunt for a good sulphate free shampoo because I do keratin treatments. It’s important that the shampoo I use contains no sulfites. This one is excellent, it suds up nicely, the smell is clean and fresh and leaves my hair shiny, hydrated and no tangles. I also love that they offer a larger size with a pump!

August & Monroe Calm Cream
I was drawn to this product because the ingredient list contains a few of my favourite active ingredients. Niacinamide and hyaluronic acid together are incredible for skin texture and pigmentation. The texture of this cream is nice and light and I love that you can purchase refills, making it eco friendly. They have also provided me with a discount code: KGMTL for 10% off.

Fable and Mane hair oil
This product looked interesting to me because I love to apply hair oil the night before a wash. I truly can’t give a proper review because I only used it one time. The scent was so strong that it kept me up at night, it was so heavily perfumed, I had to change my pillow cases immediately the next day. So while it may or may not work and be a good product I can’t get behind the strong scent.

Rose Inc. Clean Dewy Concealer
You know I am a big fan of a Dewy, hydrating concealer so of course this was a must try. I was a little underwhelmed and felt it actually wasn’t nearly as dewy as the other concealers I love and use daily. I find the formula a little cakey and even mattifying. I also don’t love the applicator wand, I prefer something that has movement and that’s a little thinner. I won’t be repurchasing.
RATING: 2/5
Rose Inc Lip Sculpt
I really wanted to like this because the colours are so nice and very up my alley. Unfortunately, I found the formula drying and upon using it for the third or fourth time the crayon broke making it impossible for me to use. The quality of the product seems cheap.
RATING: 1/5
Kayali Amber Perfume
I was so excited to see this new scent because I love the Kayali vanilla and because I am a big Amber lover. This formula fell a little flat for me. The scent didn’t give me the amber vibes I am used to and I found the scent a little on the mature side and very strong.

Lapcos Collagen Eye Patches
Who doesn’t love an eye patch! They’re literal life savers. I recently got a 5 pack of the Lapcos Collagen Eye patches and I am obsessed. They do exactly what a good eye patch is supposed to do, cool, depuff and leave you looking better than before you used them. The price point is also excellent.
