I can confidently say I am an expert when it comes to cozy cool outfits. Quarantine or not I am in sweats, leggings and oversized hoodies 90% of the time. Unclear if that’s a bad thing or the best thing ever but it is what it is. Right now most of us are stuck at home in our sweats and pjs and while we’re not really seeing anyone it is important to feel cute, chic and somewhat “normal” even if it’s just within your home.
I get asked constantly to share my favourite places to buy my “casual” AKA my day to day clothing. As usual I always tag and share what I am wearing and loving but I figured now was the perfect time to give you guys my top 5 places to buy comfortable clothing that looks cool, makes you feel good and that you can wear once this whole fiasco is over!
TALENTLESS
I really didn’t want to like this brand because the Kardashian empire doesn’t really need more praise but this brand, founded by Scott Disick is actually one of my faves for sweats. I love clothing that looks somewhat worn and kind of “washed”. Talentless does this really well and their fits are awesome. My favourites are the sweatpants, I buy the men’s size small because I find them higher waisted than the women’s. Only downside to the men’s is that you will get a little butt sagging situation after a few hours whereas the women’s cut doesn’t sag as easily on the bum. Keep in mind I am 5’’8 and long so the men’s just fit me better but if you aren’t as tall you may want to go for the women’s style.
I also love the zip up hoodies from Talentless (I wear men’s medium for an oversized fit), but I will mention that while they look great they’re not the comfiest and don’t have that good cozy fleece lining.
TRENDSAVVY SWEATSUIT SEASON EVENT
This has been my go to at the moment because unlike most online retailers, Trendsavvy is getting new sweat suits and cozy outfits in daily and at all different price points. I have been living in their Better Quality Tie Dye sweat suits and love the fit! (I wear a size small in sweats and large in the sweatshirts). THE PANGAIA
I was introduced to The Pangaia a few months ago by my sister Tara, who has the best eye for fashion. As soon as I started wearing it I got so many comments and DMs from you guys wanting to shop it. This brand is on the verge of blowing up, more recently I have seen a bunch of celebs and big influencers wearing it and I feel kinda cool that we knew about it first! The Pangaia makes 4 items, sweatpants, hoodies, t-shirts and puffer jackets. 1 style only for each, in about 7 different fun colours. The brand is sustainable and made responsibly and from seaweed fibres. It is meant to be worn together, in mismatched colours and although it’s super simple stuff, you kind of just want to buy it all! I wear a size large in the hoodies and XS in the sweats!
HANES BASICS
Before there were all these athleisure brands making pricey but cool sweat suits, there was good ol’ Hanes. Hanes still makes great basics at great prices and in many colours. This is a good option as well and I still love a good pair of Hanes sweats! They recently started making an ecosmart fabric that is great!
URBAN OUTFITTERS
This has become a little bit of an obsession… and it’s not cheap. Urban Outfitters has really cute sweatshirts and I have a little addiction to buying them… ALL! I have covered my love for their up-cycled tie dye sweatshirts (Currently Loving: Up-Cycled Tye Dye Sweatshirts) a few months back and I am living in their ‘Urban Renewal’ items. I also love their vintage looking rock band t-shirts and sweatshirts, they’re cozy, cute & make me happy!
