5 Kitchen Tools I Use Most

I am constantly in my kitchen, either cooking, eating, prepping, or making some sort of beverage of elixir. I wasn’t always a kitchen and cooking expert but over the years I have become a self-proclaimed savant. Over the years I have built up quite the collection of appliances, bakeware, cookware, cooking tools etc… I put up a fun IGTV today where I show the 5 kitchen appliances (I’m not talking refrigerators and stovetops) that I use the most, make cooking and prepping easier & the things I believe are worth investing in when building up your home.

Whether you are moving out on your own and need to figure out what kitchen tools you need, or you are planning to start cooking at home more, here is my round up of the top 5 kitchen appliances/ tools I use most and swear by!  Hopefully this will help you figure out what you need and leave you feeling less overwhelmed!

RICE COOKER

If you guys follow me on Instagram then you have definitely seen me use this! I make rice, quinoa, oats, buckwheat and even steamed vegetables. It really is a multi-use appliance and lasts long! It also makes it much easier to cook the foods mentioned above without having to worry about stirring and checking and best of all it keeps your food hot until you’re ready to serve it!

IMMERSION BLENDER SET

This was given to me when I got engaged and I use it almost daily. The set comes with multiple use attachments for baking and cooking. My favourite attachment is the miniature food processor because I hate chopping things like ginger, garlic, onions and this makes it super easy and quick. It’s also great to use as a food processor if you don’t have one or live in a smaller space with little storage!

ELECTRIC KETTLE

I mean, this is a real staple for me. I use it once a day no matter what for my morning lemon water,  but also use for tea, nut milks, coconut milk and all my elixirs. I love it having one with a temperature control and have linked my favourites.

BLENDER

Another thing I use daily is my blender, I have a Vitamix, which is pricey but so worth it. However, any high powered blender will do, they even make small sized ones like the nutri bullet that are great if you have less space. I use my blender for everything from smoothies and soups to nut milks, pudding, sauces, the list goes on and on.

COFFEE MACHINE

This is quite the necessity, unless of course you don’t drink coffee. I love my Nespresso machine even though day to day I actually drink cold brew, it always comes in handy when I was the occasional espresso or have guests over! I also think coffee machines now a days look really nice on your counter top!

I have many more appliances and other kitchen tools that I swear by but I wanted to keep it simple to start. Let us know below what you want to see more of, is it bakeware essentials, go to pots and pans? We are more than happy to help guide you in the right direction!
