This salmon has been a go-to for me and my family for years. The recipe is super simple, but the method is where the magic happens. What’s so great about this is that it tastes and looks like it was professionally cooked in a restaurant and works well served with anything you want. I love to eat this with roasted veggies or a simple salad.
Perfectly Seared Simple Salmon
Servings 2 people
Ingredients
- 2 fillets Organic or Wild Salmon
- 2 tbsp avocado oil
- Sea salt & Pepper
- Optional garnish: dill parsley, capers, lemon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425F. Prep your salmon, rinse it well, dry it really well and top with a generous amount of sea salt and pepper.
- Heat a cast iron skillet on medium high heat on the stove. Once hot add the avocado oil, place salmon flesh side down, make sure pieces are not touching and skin is facing up.
- Sear/ cook for 3-4 minutes and then transfer into the oven for another 10 minutes. Do your best to move the salmon as little as possible.
- Remove from the oven and plate salmon, the top will be nice and crisp. Garnish with your choice of toppings and enjoy!
