I think we can all agree that everyone loves fries and if you don’t, well, then you probably like sweet potato fries! I have been making baked fries for as long as I’ve known how to cook as a side dish to burgers and these fries are a major crowd pleaser. I make mine with sweet potatoes or russet potatoes depending on what I’m in the mood for. The below recipe serves 2 and works for either type of potato.
I recommend keeping an eye on the potatoes, nobody likes a burnt batch of french fries! These go really well with my burgers, check out that recipe here too.
Baked Fries
Servings 4 servings
Ingredients
- 2 large potatoes
- 2 tbsp avocado oil
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Sea salt & pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425F and line a baking tray with parchment paper or silicone mat.
- Cut your potatoes into “fries,” I slice mine lengthwise (see video).
- In a large mixing bowl combine the cut potatoes and avocado oil, sea salt, pepper, cayenne, garlic powder, parsley and with your hands mix it all until potatoes are covered.
- Spread onto the baking tray – I try to keep space between them all.
- Bake for 20-25 or until desired crispiness and ENJOY!
Can’t wait to try these! Please keep the healthy versions of comfort foods coming! ❤️
