GLWGRLS Baked Fries

I think we can all agree that everyone loves fries and if you don’t, well, then you probably like sweet potato fries! I have been making baked fries for as long as I’ve known how to cook as a side dish to burgers and these fries are a major crowd pleaser. I make mine with sweet potatoes or russet potatoes depending on what I’m in the mood for. The below recipe serves 2 and works for either type of potato.

I recommend keeping an eye on the potatoes, nobody likes a burnt batch of french fries! These go really well with my burgers, check out that recipe here too.

Baked Fries

Course Side Dish
Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 25 minutes
Servings 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 large potatoes
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Sea salt & pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425F and line a baking tray with parchment paper or silicone mat.
  • Cut your potatoes into “fries,” I slice mine lengthwise (see video).
  • In a large mixing bowl combine the cut potatoes and avocado oil, sea salt, pepper, cayenne, garlic powder, parsley and with your hands mix it all until potatoes are covered.
  • Spread onto the baking tray – I try to keep space between them all.
  • Bake for 20-25 or until desired crispiness and ENJOY!

  1. I usually just slice mine round thin, spray baking sheet and place potatoes apart sprinkle with white pepper lightly, and bake 420-425 about 12 mins each side!, yours sound a touch easier will give it a try!
