With the weather finally being nice out, we thought it would be fun to share our current favourite summer cocktails! We all have very different tastes when it comes to alcohol but we definitely can agree that a good cocktail makes all the difference.

Katherine’s Drink

The Ateni
This is my classic go to drink with a summer twist. My friend Atena (@fabnstylishatena) introduced the fresh squeezed grapefruit addition to me recently and I am obsessed!! It also conceals the taste of alcohol which is always nice!

  • 2-3oz Tequila (I like casamigos reposado)
  • 1/3 cup soda water
  • Juice of 1/2 lime
  • Juice of 1/2 grapefruit
  • 1-2 sliced fresh jalapeño
  • Served over ice

Ana’s Drink

In a highball or a copper cup full of ice, pour vodka and lime juice and top with ginger beer.

This drink is the perfect summer cocktail because it’s SO refreshing and crisp. I love drinking this on my rooftop and it’s my go to drink to serve whenever I have friends over!

  • 1 oz vodka
  • 1/2 oz lime juice
  • Ginger beer
  • Served over ice

Emma’s Drink

I’m normally a Jameson and ginger ale kind of gal but in the summer time I like to change it up with something more fresh. Sangria is usually my go to. I know that’s not technically a cocktail, but when it comes to summer, nothing is better than enjoying sangria outside.

  • 1 bottle red wine
  • 1 orange 1 grapefruit
  • Pomegranate (1/2 cup smooshed, juice)
  • Orange juice 4 cups
  • 1/2 cup brandy. vsop is usually my go to
  • 1 cup spritz up (I like to use the lemon lime kind – sometimes I switch this up for Champagne!)

In a pitcher, put all the fruit in first, poor the wine and add the additional ingredients. I like to let it sit for a few hours before serving. Once ready can use a wine glass, add a few orange slices and you’re ready to go!
