I am not the biggest drinker, but I do like to enjoy a drink here or there and of course some nights are wilder than others. When I drink, I pretty much exclusively drink tequila and have for the last 12 years. I am no longer in my twenties, so the hangovers can be very real and real life starts pretty early for me so I do what I can to limit the hangover affects with these tips.

Activated Charcoal:

Fun Fact – This was one of the first “tips” I ever gave when I started sharing my life on Instagram. If I know I’m going to have a big night I will take 1 activated charcoal before leaving the house with a big glass of water. When I get home from my night, I take 2 more activated charcoal capsules with 2 cups of water. It’s important to drink a lot of water when taking activated charcoal. Apple Cider Vinegar:

I will often take a shot of ACV or have a few Goli Gummies when I take the 2 activated charcoal pills at the end of the night and wash it all down with water. ACV helps with acid reflux and detoxifies the body so you will bounce back quicker. CLICK HERE for more info on ACV and Goli Gummies.

Milk Thistle:

Milk thistle is a natural herb that has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, and is commonly used to detoxify the body, especially the liver. When I go on vacation or know I have a big night coming, I will take milk thistle a day or two before and a day or two after. I don’t take it day to day because you don’t want to “over detox”.

Liver Juice by Organic Olivia:

First of all, if you don’t already follow Olivia you should, she is so knowledgeable and fun to listen to. Olivia has a range of tinctures (herbal remedies) and I love to take liver juice when I go on vacations and am drinking more frequently. This tincture has a mix of herbal remedies that help with liver function and detoxification.

Besides these tips, I also find that lemon water first thing the next morning instantly boosts me back to life, with its detoxifying and cleansing properties. I also recommend upping your intake of fruits the morning after to rehydrate the body and up your mineral content. Lastly, it’s probably the last thing you will want to do but try to sweat it out or get some movement in, it will make you feel back to normal and help get the alcohol out. The struggle of the hangover is real. Have any tips I missed? Leave them below.
