Summer is in full swing and that means we are all wearing swimwear. I get asked a lot about where I shop for my bathing suits and sometimes, I find it hard to answer because it hasn’t always been easy. I have always found it a little difficult to find the “perfect” swimwear for my body. I am very specific about what I want because let’s face it, we all want to look and feel confident when we’re barely dressed. I find the swimwear world has improved over the years in terms of fits, fabrics and sizing but I can’t tell you the amount of times I purchase a bikini online and a size Medium fits and looks like a XXS. No one wants to be adjusting their bathing suit all day and feeling uncomfortable.
I have rounded up the brands of swimwear that I am really liking now and the ones I find to be consistent. Most are on the pricier side, and I too struggle to understand why something so small could cost so much but I have come to realize it’s worth investing in a few great fitting, great quality suits rather than stocking up on the cheaper ones that don’t fit well or make you feel great.
WEWOREWHAT SWIM
Shop WeWoreWhat founded by Influencer Danielle Bernstein is at the top of my list and has been for the last 2 years. Influencer brands are amazing because they have a direct understanding of what their audience wants, and Danielle nailed this. Her bathing suits fit well, are sized properly and are super flattering and keep different body types in mind. I have purchased many and will continue to because they keep getting it right! The prints and styling is also great and there are various cuts to flatter everyone.
DYNAMITE SWIM
I am so happy one of my favorite stores came out with Swimwear! Dynamite recently launched their new line of Swim and it is truly amazing and very affordable. I wore a few of the items while I was in Miami and was really blown away by the styling, high quality fabrics and comfort. Even my husband commented on how nice each bikini was and he rarely makes a mention of those things. I hope they continue to expand their collection because this is exactly what the swimwear market needs. Good fits, high quality, comfort at a reasonable price.
MONDAY SWIMWEAR
Monday Swim was founded by Natasha Oakley and Devin Burgman, both influencers, notorious for bikini photos. Both girls have curvy body types, larger bust and created their own brand of swimwear a few years ago. I have purchased a few and really like the fit and the styles. They really keep the female body in mind and have an inclusive size range. They also make cute cover ups as well!
BEACH RIOT
Beach Riot makes really fun, cute styles. I love that they have a variety of different cuts and prints. There is a big selection to choose from and the prints are generally very different from what you are used to seeing. I will mention that the size range isn’t inclusive, the range only goes up to size Large and their size isn’t very large. I personally do like their styles and own a few cute pieces.
TEA YOU
Tea You is a Montreal based brand that I have been wearing and loving for years and years. They recently just launched a few new swimwear items, and I am looking forward to trying them. I love the quality, the fits and comfort.
