This is such a great switch up from a traditional burger. I love serving this with my homemade, lightened up tzatziki and roasted potatoes. (greek lemon potatoes)

Greek Burgers & Lite n’ Tite Tzatiki

Servings 2 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • ½ red onion chopped
  • 2 clove garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp parsley chopped
  • 1 tsbp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Sea salt & pepper to taste

Tzatiki Recipe:

  • 1 cup greek yogurt plain
  • ½ cucumber seeded and shredded
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 3 tbsp dill, chopped
  • ½ juice of lemon
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400F. In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients for burgers. Form into patties. Should make about 6 medium patties.
  • Heat a cast iron skillet over medium/high heat and cook patties 3-4 minutes on each side. Transfer patties to oven for 6-8 minutes.
  • While the burgers are in the oven, prepare your tzatziki. Ensure you remove the seeds from the cucumber. You can easily do this by slicing the cucumber lengthwise, using a spoon, and scoop out the seeds. Then shred the cucumber using a cheese grater. Combine all tzatziki ingredients and mix together. You can adjust the flavour to your liking.
  • Once burgers are cooked to your liking, serve with your favourite veggies! I love pairing this dish with my Greek Lemon Potatoes. https://girlslivingwell.com/greek-lemon-potatoes/
