I love a good picnic! Let’s be real, any excuse to eat and drink; I’m in! Recently I bought a “half” picnic basket. I say half because the top part is made of canvas and only the bottom is a basket. I wanted a picnic basket but wasn’t ready to commit to the price point. I found this really cute one (place for 2) on Amazon and figured I would see how many times I actually used it before investing in a larger one.
In my opinion you can pack anything for a picnic. I like to use picnics as an opportunity to graze. Provide a nice spread (balanced of course), picnics aren’t the place for heavy meals or food that require a lot of cutting.
This is what you can normally find what I’m packing my picnic basket with.
- Charcuterie
- Cheese
- Baguette
- Fruit
- Pasta Salad
- Vegetables and dip
- Napkins and cutlery
- Blanket
- Music (If you don’t have a portable speaker, your phone in a bowl works great!)
- Wine…most importantly
Will you be going on a picnic? What’s in your basket?
