I buy, receive and try a lot of different things in the course of a month. Probably more than most people you know and definitely more than is necessary. However, it is my job to know what’s going on in the world of wellness, beauty and fashion and I’m here for it!
We decided it was time to do a monthly review series, where I round up the things I have been gifted, purchased and tried within that month and let you know what’s worth trying and purchasing and what you should pass on. We would love your feedback on products and items you have been wanting reviewed. Please leave your suggestions in the comment section down below and we will be sure to test them out for you!
Augustinus Bader Cleansing Balm
If you aren’t familiar with Augustinus Bader, it is one of the most loved and raved about luxury skincare brands on the market. I have used their creams before and really liked them but couldn’t get behind the price point. When I saw they launched a cleansing balm, I had to try, because I LOVE and LIVE for a good cleansing balm. This one does not disappoint; it feels so luxurious on the skin and I really enjoy massaging into my skin. It removes all makeup and spf seamlessly and leaves skin silky and plump. I will definitely be repurchasing. Bonus, it comes with a beautiful muslin cloth.
Tahini Goddess Tahini
It’s rare I add food to my review list but ever since I showed this brand on my Instagram I have been being asked if it’s good so I knew I had to review it. I don’t love all tahini but this one is incredible. It doesn’t require much mixing, it’s very fluid and pours easily from the jar. The ingredients are really clean and the texture is just on point. The woman who owns the brand is also really sweet and I have met her in Miami and she is just a ray of sunshine. Be sure to check out all the incredible flavors.
Soleil Toujours Hydra Volume Lip Masque SPF 15
I got this for my trip to Dominican and it really did protect my lips well from the sun. I tend to get a lot of freckles on my lips and this did a good job of keeping me protected. I did like the texture and feel of the gloss but I didn’t find it lasted long and felt myself needing to reapply often. Unsure if I would repurchase.
Cellcosmet Eye Contour Cream
This eye cream is the crème de la crème, Cellcosmet is a Swiss brand that uses high tech science and makes incredible products for anti aging. I used samples of this eye cream in the past and loved it but was always hesitant to purchase because it comes with a steep price tag. I will say that although it’s pricey, it works, like really well and I notice a difference in my eye area. You also need so little product that this bottle will last me six months, whereas other eye creams generally last me about 2 months. It’s definitely worth it! Only thing I don’t love is that scent. (you can use KGMTL15 on your first order at boutique skin envie)
Actumus Regeneration 2
This super powder has been a big part of my routine recently because I have been trying to get my iron levels up and keep my immune system strong. This powder is by Actumus, which is an excellent brand owned by my naturopath, Christian Limoges. I have a full article on what it does for the body here. I have noticed an increase in my energy levels from taking this and felt an extra “layer” of protection when travelling. I take this daily after my workout, before eating breakfast in a small glass of water.
Westman Atelier Light Up Highlight Stick
Just before leaving on vacation I finally bought a few products from Gucci Westman’s makeup line. I have been wanting to try her products since they launched but never really got around to it. I brought this highlight stick with me on my trip and have been using it almost daily and can say it’s great. If you like a clear, dew that looks natural and radiant, you will like this. I also love the packaging and that the ingredients are clean. Can’t wait to review the rest of the stuff I got!
Dynamite Luxe Loungewear
It just gets better and better. In early December I ordered a bunch of the new items from Dynamite’s Luxe Lounge collection and let me just say, WOW! The quality, the fits, the colors, so on point and at such a great price. I buy a lot of sweats and hoodies, so I know what’s out there, across all the price points and they really hit the nail on the head with this collection. My favorites are the Lafayette joggers (I wear size small) and the Carnaby Crewneck sweatshirt (I wear size Large).
Vivier Skin Vitamin C Scrub
I was sent this product and have been using it a few times a week as a gentle exfoliant and am really enjoying it. It definitely leaves the skin nice and glowy, plump and very soft. It’s not my favorite face scrub ever but it’s a great option for someone looking for a simple way to exfoliate and glow quickly. (Use KGMTL15 for 15% off your first order)
Josie Maran SPF 50 Body Butter
As usual, Josie Maran never disappoints, this SPF is incredible. It seeps into the skin so nicely, doesn’t leave a white cast, protects your skin from the sun but still allows you to get a nice glow. I am so thrilled I finally got to truly test this in “real” sun and can’t wait to continue to use it this summer!
Apple Watch Series 6
After over 5 years with the first edition Apple Watch, it was time to upgrade and buy a new one, so I got the new series 6 watch. I can’t tell you how much better the new watch is than the old one. The screen responsiveness is incredible, it really tracks your workouts well, it tells you your V02 max and the battery is excellent. I actually got one for one of my best friends for her birthday with a few girls and she is also obsessed with it! Highly recommend.
Nanor Body Scrub
Nanor, known for their luxury candles, came out with body scrubs in December and the whole team tried them out and we really liked them. My personal favorite is the unscented one, I am not a big scent person. These are formulated with avocado oil, they work really well to exfoliate gently and leave skin nice and silky. This also makes a great gift!
