For the last 6 months, I have been doing my best to eat a salad or raw vegetables before any other food groups at lunch and dinner. It all began with the the salad I eat daily, sometimes twice daily, the Vitality Salad. This salad was originally created by my naturopath, Christian Limoges, who changed my life in many ways in a very short amount of time.

PRO TIP: If you plan to eat a salad or raw vegetables at each meal, it is a game changer to clean and cut in advance (I usually do it Sundays) and store them in your fridge already cut up and ready to go. Prepping in advance will make it really easy to throw into a bowl and serve! I often use my food processor on the shredding setting, and it makes things go much faster and easier. I hope this better explains why I eat raw vegetables before my other foods and encourages you to go out and make your own Vitality salad. More on this and other food combining tips coming soon.
