We love a good stir fry around here! This Flank Steak & Broccoli stir fry is so easy to make and is divine. You can swap the Steak for whatever protein you want! Try it out and let us know what you think.
Flank Steak and Broccoli Stir Fry
Servings 2 servings
Ingredients
Steak
- 1 lb flank steak
- 1 head of broccoli cut into florets
- 2 tbsp avocado oil
Sauce
- 1/3 cup tamari or coconut aminos
- 1/3 cup bone broth
- 1 tbsp ginger grated
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tbsp arrowroot flour or starch
- 2 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup or coconut sugar
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- For serving: cooked rice sesame seeds, green onion
Instructions
- Put your steak in the freezer for 30-45 minutes to make it easier to slice. Once ready, cut into thin, 1/4 inch slices Whisk together your sauce ingredients and set aside
- Heat 1 tbsp avocado oil in a large skillet over medium heat
- Add your broccoli and cook, covered, for 5 minutes Remove broccoli from the skillet and raise the heat to medium high
- Add another tbsp of avocado oil
- Add your beef to the skillet in a single layer and sear for 2 minutes on each side
- Turn your heat down to medium low and add your sauce
- Simmer for 2-3 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken then add your broccoli and toss to coat
- Remove from heat and serve over rice with a garnish of sesame seeds and green onion.
