TV Shows
The White Lotus
I watched this recently and loved it! It’s about a resort in Hawaii and it follows the lives of some of the guests and employees. Very good. It’s on HBO and can be found on Crave or Hulu.
9 Perfect Strangers
This is a David E Kelly mini-series. There are some major A list actors in it and it’s really good. 9 people go to a wellness retreat, Nicole Kidman’s character is the “guru” and you get a glimpse into all of their lives.
Clickbait
Another mini series that recently came out on Netflix that is really good and hooks you in! Binge worthy for sure.
Workouts
The Sculpt Society
I have been really loving this workout lately. It incorporates dancing and low impact sculpting. I like doing the 45–50-minute classes and it goes by so quickly. I feel energized and lighter after. Highly recommend it.
Recipes
We have been loving my Almond Joy cookies from my book, like craving them on repeat!! So light and satisfying.
We have also been really into my Crispy Mushroom Salad from GLW, it’s hearty enough to have with a piece of fish or chicken and have that be our dinner.
Podcasts
The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast
I love this podcast because they cover so many topics that I am passionate about. They interview so many people I follow and look up to and they ask questions that I can relate to!
Day One Podcast
I am being featured on this podcast this week. This is an incredible resource and listen for those going through, thinking about or dealing with a loved one going through fertility. It’s raw and real and needed in this space.
Trends/ Fashion:
Chunky Knits
I know we are not there quite yet but I am very into knitwear this season and even more so chunky knits. I usually go for thinner pieces but this year I am leaning towards big knitwear that I can throw on with anything and be warm and cozy.
Plaid
I know that plaid is not new for fall but I don’t always feel so inclined to get plaid pieces. This season I can’t wait to start incorporating cute plaid items into my wardrobe. I just got a cute crop plaid shirt from Lionness.
Gio’s faves:
TV Shows
Good Girls
A new season just came out on Netflix, so I decided to go back and restart from season 1. Good Girls is a super easy-to-watch, binge worthy show about three women who get themselves involved in a drug / money scheme. Super jokes and entertaining!
Turning Point : 9/11 and the War on Terror
With the anniversary of Sept 11 quickly approaching, this new documentary show came out on Netflix. Re-watching the events roll out and seeing actual footage, spoken from people who were actually present that day, is terrifying and feels so unreal. This series really gives a clear and interesting look at 9/11, the Taliban and the war on terror.
American Horror Story: Double Feature
I’ve always been a big fan of AHS and the first three seasons were iconic. I find it’s been lacking ever since but I always give the new season a chance. So far, the newest season, Double Feature, is interesting and entertaining. I am looking forward to seeing where it’s going.
Books
You Can Heal Your Life by Louis Hay
The book teaches love of the self and evaporation of guilt, which makes us mentally free and physically healthy! A good book to put your mind into perspective going into a new season.
Black Swans by Eve Babitz
Black Swans is a collection of nine stories that look back on the 1980s and early 1990s—decades of dreams, drink, and stoned youth turning Republican. Babitz prowls California, telling tales of a changing world.
Podcast
Let’s Talk about Mental Health by Jeremy Godwin
A really interesting and informative podcast about different topics revolving around mental health.
Music
Certified Lover Boy album
Drake’s new album recently dropped and it is bringing back old Drake vibes. I’m into it.
Alone with You – Alina Baraz
Love Alina Baraz so much and she recently dropped a new single, Alone with You. Only good vibes.
Skinnydipped – Banks
A new single from Banks. I’ve always been a big Banks fan and think she has the voice of an angel. Her new song (as per usual) does not disappoint.
Emma’s faves:
TV Shows/Movies
Chicago MED
I love a good doctor drama. I came across this series on Netflix and I’m hooked. (Hello Dr. Choi) It has a crossover with Chicago P.D. I’ll definitely be starting that series next.
The Red Sea Diving Resort
The amazing true story about how Israel rescued 15,000 Ethiopian Jews in the Sudan, based on the events of Israel’s Operation Moses and Operation Joshua in 1984-1985. Truth be told, I started watching this movie because it stars Chris Evans and then continued watching because of the amazing story.
He’s All That
I only watched this movie because I wanted to see how it compared to the original. It doesn’t. Tanner Buchanan was good (have you watched Cobra Kai? It’s a must) but Addison Rae, you can tell it was her first movie. It’s still a cute film to watch with a typical happy ending if you’re looking for something light and easy. They reference the original She’s All That, so if you haven’t seen it, there’s a few jokes you won’t understand.
Books
Beneath a Scarlet Sky by Mark T. Sullivan

After he is injured, he is recruited to be the personal driver to Adolf Hilter’s left hand in Italy, General Hans Leyers, one of the Third Reich’s most powerful commanders. Pino then spends the rest of the war being a spy for the Allies.
