Decorating a bathroom can sometimes be tricky when trying to make it both functional and pretty to look at. Here are a few ways to achieve both aspects while still keeping that minimal style!

Start by placing everything you need on a tray. This way, it will help the space feel put together because the items you are displaying are in a cluster presented nicely.

Next, display the items needed to make your space function (example: tissue box, cotton swabs in a pretty container, cotton pads in a container etc.) Once you’ve done this, if you are using a tissue box—get a linen tissue box cover or a leather one to hide the patterns that are on the tissue box itself. This is an easy way to make your space look high-end while also being functionable. The one pictured is from Etsy!

Following the tissue box and/or cotton swabs and pads, hand wash and hand cream are a perfect thing to display on your tray. They are definitely practical to have in a bathroom, not to mention—necessary. Mine are from Aesop but another one of my favourites is the softening hand wash and cream by Diptyque.

If you’re looking to add a touch of serenity to your bathroom, adding a candle to your tray cluster is definitely the way to go. Not only is it pretty but when lit, it will create a spa-like ambiance for you and your guests. The GLW shop has a few non-toxic candles that you can look into from brands Heretic and Dehv Candle & Co. if you want to opt for a healthier alternative!

Lastly, add a little greenery. A faux plant will help create little to no maintenance but also creates a balanced look. The taller your plant, the more dimension it will add to your bathroom (the key is to always try to draw your eye up).

Remember a little goes a long way—be picky about what to display (no one likes to see clutter) and make sure that it combines both function and an appealing aspect for the best results.

We would love to see your minimal bathroom decor, share a photo of your bathroom in the comments below!
