I buy, receive and try a lot of different things in the course of a month. Probably more than most people you know and definitely more than is necessary. However, it is my job to know what’s going on in the world of wellness, beauty and fashion and I’m here for it!
We decided it was time to do a monthly review series, where I round up the things I have been gifted, purchased and tried within that month and let you know what’s worth trying and purchasing and what you should pass on. Drunk Elephant Sweet Biome Mist
I find Drunk Elephant products to be hit or miss but when I see a new launch I feel like it’s my duty to try and review. I purchased this and was not blown away but anything about it. It isn’t bad by any means but it didn’t really do much for me. It does hydrate a little but for the price I just don’t think it’s anything special.

Tower28 Shine On Jelly Gloss
This gloss is LIFE! I had tried this before in a clear colorway and when Tower28 launched their new shades (which are really good, my fave is Cashew) I had to try again. This gloss is perfect, it moisturizes, gives nice color, isn’t sticky and is well priced. Oh, and the ingredients are clean. I am a fan!

Glow Recipe Plum Plump Hyaluronic Acid Serum
I am actually very impressed with this product. Glow Recipe doesn’t always deliver for me and I usually am not satisfied with their line but this product is great. It really plumps and delivers a nice amount of moisture to the skin, it doesn’t leave skin sticky which I find some HA serums tend to do. I have been using this before my Vitamin C serum in the morning and love it!

Set Active Sculptflex Activewear
Okay, so I have ordered from Set active before and was really not a fan of the way it looked on me. I actually didn’t understand what the hype was about, over the holidays my sister was always wearing cute sets from them and they looked amazing. She told me to make sure to order the Sculptflex not Luxform. So of course, I did and she was so right! The sculpflex fits amazing, very flattering and cute colors! I’m hooked, only downside is they rarely have stock and exchanges returns aren’t easy.

Gucci Beauty Satin Lipstick
So I am a fan of the colors of lipstick that I got (The painted veil and Blaze of noon) but the texture and wear on these lipsticks aren’t the best. The price is high and I find the formula to be drying and don’t love the perfumey smell. I definitely won’t be repurchasing. 5 stars for beautiful packaging though!

Fenty Skin Tot’l Cleanr Remove it all Cleanser
This month I purchased a few Fenty items but haven’t tried anything other than the cleanser enough to truly review, so you will have to wait on the other items. The cleanser however, is divine. I really love the texture, it’s creamy, it suds but it absolutely doesn’t dry out the skin. The scent is light but really nice and the packaging is great! I look forward to using this in the morning and at night as my second cleanse.

Tatcha Dewy Skin Serum
Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream is in my top 5 favorite moisturizers of all time so when I saw they launched a serum I had to have it. I have been using it at night, it contains their algae complex and lactic acid, and it feels really nice on the skin. I haven’t noticed any dramatic differences, but my skin does feel nice and plump. Not sure if this serum will become a regular for me.

Playa Healing Hair Masque
I waited for this product to restock for what feels like forever, when it finally did I was so excited to try it out. After the first use I was really unimpressed, I actually felt like it made my hair feel more coarse and did not like the texture. I tried it a second time to see if I had a different experience and had the same results. I’m not sure why it just doesn’t work on my hair but I love the entire Playa line, this is the only product that I am not a fan of. The smell is incredible though! I will be returning.

Summer Fridays Cloud Dew Cream
I always love and look forward to a Summer Friday’s launch. I don’t usually go for an oil-free moisturizer because I have nothing against oils in my creams or products but of course, I had to give this a try. I have been using it in the morning before my SPF and really love the way it makes my skin look and feel. It has a nice gel like texture but leaves skin really dewy and fresh. Really enjoying it!

The 5 Minute Journal
I know I am late to the party on this one but 2021 is the year of mindset and although I have a great mindset and great habits, I am all about levelling up and becoming the best version of myself. I have been doing this now since the beginning of the month and I do notice that it has helped me practice gratitude and set intentions for my day. It is so simple and takes little to no time and has a great impact on your actions day to day. Highly recommend for anyone who has been considering trying.

Josie Maran Retinol Whipped Argan Body Butter
This is Josie’s latest launch and I was lucky enough to receive it back in November to try under embargo (secretly). I love Josie’s whipped body butter, this one has the addition of her retinol which I love. This lotion is so nourishing and leaves skin so firm and supple. I will definitely buy this over and over!
