I buy, receive and try a lot of different things in the course of a month. Probably more than most people you know and definitely more than is necessary. However, it is my job to know what’s going on in the world of wellness, beauty and fashion and I’m here for it!
We decided it was time to do a monthly review series, where I round up the things I have been gifted, purchased and tried within that month and let you know what’s worth trying and purchasing and what you should pass on. We would love your feedback on products and items you have been wanting reviewed. Please leave your suggestions in the comment section down below and we will be sure to test them out for you!
Branch Basics
After hearing about this brand over and over I finally ordered it. I love it so much, the brand is effective, clean and sustainable. I have mentioned a bunch over the last month because using natural cleaning products is so important. I am hooked and will continue to use this product line. PCA Skin
After getting hooked on PCA’s B3 I decided to try out their HA boosting serum. I am not the biggest fan of hyaluronic acid serums, generally I don’t find there is much benefit or see any results from them. This one is actually very good; the skin is left super plumped up and moisturized. I don’t know if I will be repurchasing because while it is amazing, I have other hydrating, plumping products I prefer but if you are looking for a boost for the skin this is a great option.

Skinceuticals Silymarin CF
I was so excited to use this product and see its magic. I have been using now for 5 weeks, every morning instead of my regular Skinceuticals CF serum and I do think it’s excellent. This specific Vitamin C serum is targeted at oily, blemish prone skin, which I don’t have, but there is 15% l-ascorbic acid so Im all in! I think I will continue in the future with my CF or CE because I find it does the same job for what I need but I think this formula is excellent for those with oily skin types and especially great if you get oilier in the summer months.

Josie Maran Retinol Eye Cream
I was so excited to try this product when it launched. Like most Josie products, this eye cream is great and formulated with excellent ingredients. I have been enjoying the results but not loving the application. I don’t like eye creams that are in pots, it feels counter productive to be exposing the product to bacteria and I always end up taking too much product out. I also find the cream doesn’t absorb as easily as I’d like into my skin. I do like the actual results and find my eyes look lifted and bright but would love to see a better consistency for application and different packaging.

Skin Regimen Micro Algae Essence
I am LOVING this product. I really go back and forth with essences, they’re not necessarily necessary but they do pack a punch. I apply this after cleansing, before my serums, morning and night and truly notice a difference from using this. The ingredient list here is like a superfood splash to the face and I love that it contains lactic acid for a gentle exfoliation and glow. I also love how it feels on my skin and how nicely my serums apply after using this. Definitely will repurchase. Use code kgmtl for 10% off your first order.

GoopGlow Lotion
I bought this cream during the Sephora sale because I wanted to try a lighter weight moisturizer for summer. I don’t dislike this but I also don’t love this. I haven’t returned it and have used it here and there but there is nothing pulling me back to it. I also don’t see any additional glow or anything special about it. It feels like a very basic simple moisturizer with a hefty price tag and nice packaging.

Just Thrive Probiotics
I have been using these probiotics now for 2.5 months and I can truly say they are amazing. I was having a little digestive discomfort toward the end of winter and after about 3 weeks of these probiotics I have rarely felt bloated. I am really enjoying them and the brand. Use code Kgmtl for 15% off.

Slip Silk Pillowcase
I have always gone on and off with silk pillow cases. I know there are tons of skin and hair benefits and in the past I have used them for months at a time and then kind of fell off the bandwagon. Recently, I found these marble ones on Boutique Skin Envie and have been really loving them. The quality is excellent and I think it is keeping my hair smoother and my blow dries last longer.
RATING: 4/5
BushBalm Sweet Escape Oil
At GLW we have all been testing out the Bush Balm products and I am loving them all but really loving this one. I like to use it on my body after the shower, before a bath when I exfoliate or even adding it to my moisturizer. The scent is nice and light, it really seeps nicely into skin and is super nourishing. More on this awesome brand this week! (Stay tuned for a special code!)
RATNING: 5/5
Hi KG, I agree with you. I also hate the JM eye cream packaging. It’s not easy to apply. If you have a bit of a long nail, it gets stuck under and it’s waisted product. Hopefully JM will rethink the packaging because the product itself is good.
