If you are well versed and up to date with the latest beauty launches you may have heard of bakuchiol. If not, we’re guessing you’ve never heard of it as it’s a relatively new “hot” ingredient. It’s considered the plant-based alternative to Retinol. This ingredient comes from the seeds and leaves of the Psoralea corylifolia, also called the babchi tree, native to India. It’s fairly new to the North American beauty market but has been used in Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese skincare remedies for centuries.

  1. Yes! I switched to Herbivore’s Bakuchiol when SR Luna went off the market temporarily. Great product, highly recommend.
