Since I was young, my father has been adding schisandra berries in his daily smoothies. I remember my first time trying them because they were by far the grossest things I had ever tasted. Schisandra berries have a bitter, salty, sweet, hot and sour flavor profile which basically means they taste like poison. That being said, they have very powerful medicinal and healing properties so luckily they also come in capsule form and are often added to other adaptogen blends.
