Have you watched that episode from Emily in Paris Season 2 yet? If you haven’t, they talk about it in episode 4. French women have a secret with magical leek soup!

It’s pretty simple recipe to follow and only for a 48h regimen. Drink this magical soup every 2-3 hours, one cup at a time over the course of one weekend. Then on Sunday for dinner can have a small piece of meat or fish (keep it at 4-6 oz) with steamed vegetables. Leeks are a mild diuretic and following this for the 48 hours will help kick start your wellness journey.

Recipe for Magical Leek Soup

2 lbs. leeks

  1. Clean leeks and rinse well.
  2. Cut end of green parts leaving all the white parts plus a suggestion of green. (Can keep the extra greens for soup stock.
  3. Put leeks in large pot and cover with water. Bring to boil and simmer with no lid for 20-30 minutes.
  4. Pour off the liquid and reserve.
  5. Place the leeks in a bowl. Drizzle with a few drops of extra-virgin olive oil and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
