I buy, receive and try a lot of different things in the course of a month. Probably more than most people you know and definitely more than is necessary. However, it is my job to know what’s going on in the world of wellness, beauty and fashion and I’m here for it!

We decided it was time to do a monthly review series, where I round up the things I have been gifted, purchased and tried within that month and let you know what’s worth trying and purchasing and what you should pass on. We would love your feedback on products and items you have been wanting reviewed. Please leave your suggestions in the comment section down below and we will be sure to test them out for you!

Jones Road Miracle Balm

I am into anything that gives a glow, a dew and makes the skin look plump and fab. Jones Road’s miracle balm is apparently… a miracle and does all the things I just mentioned. This line is Bobbi Brown’s new line and it’s made with clean ingredients. This is definitely considered the “hero” product of the line. I ordered it in ‘Au Natural’ and ‘Bronze’. It took me about 3 weeks to understand how to use it and I wasn’t really so blown away by it. Then I took the time to read and understand that you need to peel through the top layer to get the good stuff and I have to say it definitely is worth the try. It gives a beautiful glow while not being sticky! It’s also massive and will last forever! I do not think it’s a ‘miracle’ and products like this exist but it’s good.

Colorescience Sunforgettable Color Sticks

I truly think that spf makeup is going to be a major beauty trend going forward. Not only because of UV rays but also because we are all parked in front of blue light all day and night so our skin needs protection. These sticks are awesome! They give a beautiful pop of color to the cheeks while also giving you sun protection. They are not too matte or too dewy, just the right in between! I love all 3 shades! Can’t wait to use it on a vacation!

Pique BTox Beauty Water

I am a big Pique fan and was very excited to receive their latest launch as a gift. I really like this concoction, I add it to water once or twice a day and it gives me “healthy crystal light” vibes. This blend contains minerals and hyaluronic acids all of which are great for the skin and tastes like a light pink lemonade. Very refreshing and I enjoy drinking this. It’s too soon to tell if I notice anything different about my skin but I know the ingredients have major glow giving benefits so I’m here for it.

RATING: 4.5/5

Gee Beauty Gel Liner

I don’t know what took me so long to try this liner but all I can say is WOW. Goes on so smooth and it’s so easy to apply. I love the shade “baroque”. The formula reminds me of the Victoria Beckham liner but for a fraction of the price and I actually prefer this one. I also want to mention how great it is if you have lash extensions because it doesn’t tug at the lashes. I’m a fan! Use code ‘katherine15’ for 15% off your Gee Beauty makeup purchases.

Tula “the cult classic” purifying Cleanser

I have been hesitant about this brand for a while now because it’s so heavily promoted by influencers, and although I am an influencer I know that most aren’t trustworthy. Needless to say, I got this cleanser as a gift from Sephora and I brought it on vacation with me and I have to say I’m impressed. It cleans really well and leaves skin feeling squeezy. It isn’t drying but it’s also not the least drying cleanser I’ve used. It’s definitely a good cleanser option!

RATING: 4/5

Furtuna Skin Replenishing Balm

I am pretty obsessed with this brand and since I am trying the face oil and loving it so much I decided to buy this as well. It reminds me very much of May Lindstrom’s Blue Cocoon (which is better IMO) but with less essential oils. It’s a great product. I like layering on top of the oil and when I did my PRP treatment it really helped keep my skin hydrated and happy. Very good product.

RATING: 4.5/5

JVN nurture deep mask

I am always on the hunt for a good hair mask and I love trying new ones and switching them up. This was my first product from the JVN range, I had never heard of the brand but the ingredients and packaging looked good. I tried it two times, I liked it, it hydrated my hair nicely and my blow-dry looked good. The smell wasn’t my favourite, it’s a little “cologne-y” and I am not overly blown away by it. Worth the try but won’t become a staple.

RATING: 3/5

Anika Flash instant shine mask

This looked interesting to me, I like the idea of a quick mask to use in the shower to add a little shine. I have used it now 5 times and love the smell and feeling of it on my hair. I truly don’t know if it is making my hair shiny or not because I don’t really notice a difference but I will continue to use and see if I notice anything special. I will not be purchasing again but I’m happy to use it while I have it.

RATING: 3/5

Dae 3-in-1 Cactus Fruit Styling Cream

I love Dae and pretty much everything they make and this is no exception. This is a really great styling product. I have used it on damp hair, pre blow-dry. As an air dry product and also as a finishing cream to help with flyaways. It works well for all needs and the bottle is fun to use. Clean ingredients as well and I find the product to be nourishing for the hair.

RATING: 4.5/5
