Ok so, I put beautifying in the title of these cookies because they contain collagen and amongst the many benefits collagen has to offer, the beauty benefits are what interest me, and I’m assuming most of you, most! These are cakey, cloud like cookies with clean ingredients that you guys have highly requested to get up onto the site, so here they are! Get your beauty benefits while satisfying that sweet tooth!
I have made these with crushed up Hu Kitchen chocolate bars instead of the chocolate chips and it’s also delicious. You can add in chopped nuts as well! These are not you average chocolate chip cookie but you will definitely love them!
Chocolate Chip Collagen Cookies
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp coconut oil melted and cooled
- 4 egg whites or ½ cup liquid egg whites
- ¼ maple syrup or honey
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups almond flour
- 4 scoops collagen peptides or 1/2 cup
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp sea salt
- 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Pre heat oven to 350F, line baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone mat
- In a bowl mix together coconut oil, maple syrup, egg whites and vanilla until smooth and combined.
- Add in almond flour, collagen, baking soda and sea salt, mix until combined and fold in chocolate chips.
- Make 1 tbsp balls and place evenly on baking sheet, I like to flatten out the dough a little with my fingers before placing into oven. Bake 10-12 minutes or until bottoms begin to get golden.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving and enjoy!
