Lately since I’ve been working with Katherine and at Girls Living Well, I’ve been asked; “What’s your skincare routine?”, truthfully… nothing. I wash my face in the shower (I know, I know…) and I use a moisturizer with SPF for the day. That’s all. It was about time I met with someone to give me a proper routine to benefit my skin the most. I don’t like spending a lot of time getting ready so my top priority was there had to be a minimal amount of steps to do. I went for a consultation at Elivia Beaute with Andrea. She kept the routine simple and 3 steps for AM and 3 for PM. All in all it takes me 7 minutes to complete. Perfect.
I thought my main skin concern was blackheads on my nose and chin, Andrea told me that in fact it’s not blackheads but oil buildup sitting in the pores. Good thing I saw her, I’ve been picking at my face to get them out. Yes, yes I know. Not good again.
Here’s my new morning routine:
SkinMedica – Facial Cleanser
This cleanser removes environmental pollutants and excess oil while hydrating the skin. It leaves your skin feeling smooth and hydrated. This cleanser contains Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5) that binds moisture to the surface of the skin and Camellia oleifera Leaf Extract which helps prevent free radical damage.
Vivier – Serum 10
An advanced oil-free Vitamin C serum specifically formulated to reduce signs of environmental damage such as fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin texture and tone. Ideal for sensitive skin.
Elta MD Skincare – SPF 30
Daily facial moisturizing cream with sunscreen UVA/UVB protection. For dry skin types.
Here’s my new nighttime routine:
SkinMedica – AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser
This elegantly formulated exfoliating cleanser thoroughly cleanses and gently exfoliates the skin, improving the appearance of skin tone and texture.
Alastin Skincare- Renewal Retinol .25
Renewal Retinol should be used nightly to help smooth skin texture, improve skin tone and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Since this is my first time ever using a retinol, so we started off with the milder one (they also have a .5 option)
SkinMedica – Rejuvenative Moisturiser
This moisturizer helps nourish, hydrate, and rejuvenate skin with antioxidants (Vitamin A, C and E) and Hyaluronic Acid. Appropriate for normal to dry skin types.
To kick start my new skincare routine, I had a SilkPeel done at Dermafina. also by Andrea. She explained to me that this would be a deep exfoliation of the skin. It honestly felt great to have all the crap sucked out of my face. Leaving my skin feeling super clean and so soft. I’ll definitely be going back for another one!
All these products can be found on Elivia Beaute. Contact them directly to set up your consultation for your new skincare routine! I guarantee you’re going to love it!
I’m excited to be doing this new routine and will report back in a few weeks on the process!
