I buy, receive and try a lot of different things in the course of a month. Probably more than most people you know and definitely more than is necessary. However, it is my job to know what’s going on in the world of wellness, beauty and fashion and I’m here for it!
We decided it was time to do a monthly review series, where I round up the things I have been gifted, purchased and tried within that month and let you know what’s worth trying and purchasing and what you should pass on. We would love your feedback on products and items you have been wanting reviewed. Please leave your suggestions in the comment section down below and we will be sure to test them out for you!
rhode lip treatment
I finally got my hands on the Rhode Lip Balm and it does not disappoint. It is really moisturizing, plumping (without the zing) and has a great shine. I got the three pack, I was expecting there to be different shades/ colours but all of them are clear and have different flavours. My favourite by far is the Salted Caramel. Will definitely repurchase. Wish the ingredients were a little cleaner.
January, or January Labs raves about this sunscreen and she had them send it to me. It really is amazing. It’s the clearest mineral sunscreen I have ever used and requires no “work” to blend into the skin. It also reapplies really nicely over makeup with a beauty blender. It’s a yes for me and I am looking into getting it on the shop!
sobe tan solution
I am an avid spray tanner and get it done once a week. so many solutions on the market claim to be “clean” but contain so many chemicals. It’s really important for me to reduce my chemical load where it’s possible so when Fabiola (founder of Sobe Tan, Miami) launched her line I had to try. I now bring this to my spray tan tech and have her use it for my weekly tans. It is by far the cleanest on the market and the color is amazing!
Luna Nectar Glass hair rinse
This was the first product I tried from the Luna Nectar range and I am obsessed with it. You truly see the difference when using this. What I do is shampoo my hair and then after rinsing it out I apply 3-5 pumps of this into my hair, from root to tip. I let it sit for 3-4 minutes while I exfoliate, wash my body etc… then rinse it out and follow up with conditioner or treatment. When you style hair you will see how insanely soft and shiny hair looks!
Westman atelier skin tint
I bought this while in Paris because I had wanted to give it a try. I am very 50/50 on Westman Atelier products. I do like many of the items but some just fall flat for me. This is one of them… it’s not a “bad” product but for the price, I would expect better and more product. I do think it makes the skin look dewy and gives a nice sheer coverage but the product doesn’t last a full day on skin.
This has been a much anticipated product from Agent. It’s her first face cream and it does not disappoint. I personally love a dewy finish, greasier moisturizer so I wasn’t expecting to love this product but of course, in true Agent fashion, it’s AMAZING! On days I want a richer finish I add in some Holi Oil to the mix. The finish is matte but luminous and works so beautifully under makeup. I think this is a great option for those with acne prone skin and those who want a flawless complexion under foundation. The smell is also divine and refreshing.
Vapour Architect Brow Gel
I was so excited when I found out Vapour was launching a brow gel because I had been having a hard time finding one that checks all my boxes. I find some are too light or too heavy and this is the perfect medium coverage for the brow. It fills in but doesn’t over power. It adds a little volume without it looking unnatural. I also love that the brush has 2 options depending on the look you’re going for! I use color horizon and adore it!
