This is a recipe I make often when iI’m in the mood for something Asian inspired but that isn’t too heavy or saucy. They are super easy to make and can be served alongside any grain or vegetable and take very little time to prep and cook!

Enjoy!

Sweet and Spicy Asian Shrimp

Course Main Course
Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes
Servings 2 servings

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 14 Large Wild Shrimp I usually buy frozen and thaw before
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger minced
  • 1 tsp fresh garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp coconut aminos or tamari
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tsp sambal or sriracha
  • 1 tsp raw honey
  • ¼ tsp sea salt & pepper

Garnish (optional)

  • Sesame seeds
  • Cilantro
  • Green onion

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients except  avocado oil and shrimp in a bowl and whisk together until smooth
  • Throw in shrimps and coat with marinade evenly. You can marinate for as little as 15 minutes or as long as overnight. The longer the better but no stress they will be delicious either way
  • Using a skillet (cast iron preferably), heat the avocado oil on medium/ high heat and cook shrimp on each side for 3-4 minutes or until golden and little crispy
  • Plate and garnish with toppings of your choice! You can even add an extra drizzle of honey for added sweetness
