These crispy smashed potatoes are best when they’re served fresh and hot! An easy additional to any meal and even a great replacement for classic hash browns at brunch!
Easy Smashed Crispy Potatoes
Servings 4 people
Ingredients
- 12 small red or yellow potatoes Organic potatoes.. the smaller the better.
- 1 tablespoon plus ¼ teaspoon fine sea salt divided
- 4 tablespoons Avocado oil divided
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Pre-heat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Boil the potatoes for about 30-40 mins or until soft. Let them cool a bit.
- Place avocado oil or olive oil and sea salt on base of a baking tray. Place boiled potatoes on the tray, smoosh- Can use your hand or can use the base of a measuring cup or glass.
- Drizzle with avocado oil or olive oil, garlic powder and some sea salt and pepper.
- Cook for 30 mins and flipping halfway through.
- Top with chopped fresh parsley, chives and/or green onion.
- Serve and enjoy!
