If you have been following me for a few years, you may remember L-lysine being a part of my daily supplement routine. Especially when I was dealing with clearing up my cystic acne. Lysine is an essential amino acid. Amino acids are crucial for our bodies because they are responsible for building proteins and the production of hormones and neurotransmitters. Essential amino acids are ones that our bodies cannot produce on their own and therefore get them from our diets.

  1. I used to take 2-4 L-Lysine 1000mg a year or so ago for a couple of months and it cleared up my acne like AMAZING ! Then I stopped and my acne came back again… and I tried L-Lysine again and it doesn’t work anymore. I’m super bumped out. How many caplets do you recommend taking a day ? Do you know why it would work once but not again?
Thanks for your input ! 🙂
